Our 2015 Summer Vacation- Day 5!

Tuesday marked day 5 of our vacation. We cooked a big breakfast and of course spent the rest of our  day on the beach! Every morning Adam, Landon and I would always walk to the beach to set up our big tent and get our chairs put out. This way, we always had a great spot!

Ready to start our day!

The kids got an icee every day so they enjoyed that snack before they dozed off on the beach. Napping on the beach is the best!

That evening we all got ready and then went our seperate ways. My dad and Adam were heading to Pier Park to watch the new Avengers movie and mom and I loaded the kids up and drove to Seaside. I have actually read a lot about this little town on other blogs so I was excited to see what it was about! It is the neatest little town. We had a great time!

They had a row of "food trucks" and it was a popular spot! Adalyn chose a grilled chesse at "The Meltdown on 30A'" and Landon chose a hot dog at another food truck. Everything was just so cute! My mom and I then went to eat at Bud and Alley's.

This just might be the cutest post office in America.

We loved all the shops!

This was such a pretty area to walk through

Jerry and Nancy gave the kids some money for their beach trip and they each picked out exactly what they wanted. Batman for Landon and a Ty stuffed animal for Adalyn.

We had a fun night! It was late by the time we arrived back so we got in our pajamas and went to sleep. Adam and my dad came in after we had passed out.
Lots of fun on day 5!

Our 2015 Summer Vacation- Days 3 & 4!

Day 3 was Sunday which was spent driving from Helen to Panama City. It was about a 6 1/2 hour drive. I use to cringe going long distances in the car with my kids a few years ago but now, it is such a breeze. I bought 5 new movies for the trip and borrowed 4 from a friend. I also brought some of our "go to" movies that they love so I knew they would be set. They each slept maybe an hour the entire time but were content the whole trip. We finally made it to the "big bridge" you cross over before entering into Panama City and screams were let out. We were so ready to be there! It was around 4:00 by the time we arrived at the condo and unloaded everything. My mom and dad had been there since Saturday so they were waiting on us! We all changed into our bathing suits and made our way to the beach.
Ahhhhh, my happy place!
The waves were huge which really surprised me. All the years of visiting Panama City or Destin I have never seen rough waves like what we had. We had a red flag for 4 days but we were still able to swim. The water was still clean and clear just the waves were out of this world! Adalyn lost a pair of goggles and Adam is sporting a nice strawberry on his hip bone from a wave taking him under. The kids enjoyed being out in the ocean and the waves never really bothered them. Adalyn learned how to "dive" into the waves and surf them in. She loved seeing all the fish before she lost  her goggles lol We bought he another pair the next day so she was good to go.
Landon would occassionaly say, " Can we go to the next swimming pool?" He also informed us not to "eat" the water because it is "tooooo salty". hahaha

This was our first afternoon on the beach

That night we cooked in the condo and went hunting for crabs. It was hilarious! Landon has no fear of them and Adalyn had some girly squeals coming out every stop we took.
It was so much fun!

Monday morning came and I was ready for our first full day on the beach! Adalyn slept with my parents every night and we had a big pallet at the foot of our bed for Landon to sleep on. He woke up around 7:00 that first morning so we went ahead and got up and made our way down to the beach to set up our tent and chairs. Early bird gets the worm as my dad says so we had a great spot on the beach every day!
By the time everyone else was up, we ate, applied lots of sunscreen, and then made our way down.

This was Monday, day 4 of our vacation!

The waves got larger as the day went on

The tide was so high for the first two days. We ended up having to move our tent and chairs back a few times to get out of the water that kept coming up. It was crazy! See the ocean and chairs? See the huge pool of ocean water Adalyn is sitting in? It actually worked out great beacause lots of little kids were able to sit and splash in this. By noon, it was totally gone.

LOOK at this sweet face!

We went back and forth from the ocean to the pool. There is nothing like jumping into a pool to get all the salt off of you!
We layed the kids down for a nap and they were out!
They slept every day on the beach which was wonderful. There was 1 day Landon woke up and climbed in Adams lap and finished his nap there. :)
I know the towels would make them hot but they wanted them on !

We went up to the room around 4:00 and showered and cooked supper. Spaghetti, salad and toast were on the menu! After we ate, we went to Pier Park. This is the best area for adults and kids! Lots of shopping, restaurants, and things for kids to do.

Check out the location of Landons hand...
BOYS!!

My dad was dancing haha! See Adalyn covering her face?

We had a fun night! We got home late and went to bed. Another full day on the beach was in store for us when we woke up!

Day 5 of our vacation will be next!
