Sunday, September 18 was the day we got home from the hospital. Landon was 2 days old and we had signed Adalyn up for the baby show at the fair. I knew I wouldn't be able to walk her out on stage but Adam graciously offered to do it. I knew for a fact I would not miss it for anything and thankfully I have felt wonderful since I had him! So, when we got home my mom brought Adalyn over so welcome us. She had a good nap while at my parents so we gave her a quick bath and got ready to head to the fair. We loaded Landon up and off we went! We pulled up right by the stage and left him in the car. Ryan sat with him mostly so I could get out and cheer her on with the rest of my family and friends. She was 8th to come out and as soon as she did and saw the crowd, she turned her personality ON! Oh my goodness she was hilarious!! She was waving, blowing kisses and twirling like crazy. All we could do was laugh!
I intended to upload the videos of her on stage b/c they are just TOO funny not to share BUT blonde me can't figure out how to do it. Enjoy some pictures though!
she was saying "Yayyyyyyy" haha

Family of 4 now!
Wow! We have a 22 month old AND a 13 day old! Need I say more? lol. These past 13 days have been such a joy to our family! Tiring, yes, but definitely a joy. Landon is such an awesome baby. And yes, Adalyn is an awesome big sister. =) I have never seen a baby get kissed as much as Landon does. Adalyn must start at his lips and work her way up to his peach fuzz on his head. All she wants to do is hold him, kiss him, and stick the paci in his mouth. (which she does a little too hard- which is a given) I am constantly telling her to "be careful" and "watch what your doing!" Right now I barely walk out of the room for a second if I leave the two of them together! There is no telling what she may try! haha. But really, she has been such a big help to us. No signs of jealously whatsoever. (yet anyway!) She understands that when he is hungry I have to feed him. Changing his diaper has been a challange. Well, it was more of a challange last week when we were home for the first couple of days. I had his circumcision to worry with as well as him peeing in the air every time we changed him! One day I changed his outfit 4 times until I finally had enough of it and made him go in his diaper. I remember Adalyn peeing (some) and having to change her but oh BOY! All we could do was laugh. Poor guy even shot pee in his face. Check this out- I was feeding him and then all of a sudden my shorts felt really warm. I picked him up, and this was the result! His umbilical cord fell off this morning. Thank goodness! BUT, yesterday it somehow got caught on my shirt and when I layed him down to change his diaper, I noticed it was barely hanging on. It looked nasty so of course I had a minor freak out session. All is good and I got over it. Adalyn has called his belly button a "boo boo" since we brought him home. She says his name so well now. Very clear. She even calls him "buddy" which just makes my heart smile. On a different note... I sure do miss my sleep! But I have to say, he is a great sleeper! Even though my brain isn't working 100% right now, I remember 2 nights that were rough. The others have been "do-able!" there were also 2 nights right when we got home that breastfeeding was difficult for him. Of course he ate like a champ in the hospital and then when we got home, he made it hard on himself. We got it figured out and it's smooth sailing now! I was having to pump every so often since I was HUGE and hurting and would pump for just a few minutes. I am only breastfeeding but during the short periods when I had to pump and 13 days later... I have 112 oz froze already! Just call me a cow. Back to the sleeping, last night was pretty good. We were all in bed at 9, and he didnt wake me up again until 1:30, then again at 5:30. Ah, that was nice. Since Adam went back to school this week, I havent asked him to help me anymore during the night. The 1st week I would nurse him then he would change him and put him back to sleep. That was a huge help! I am looking forward to tomorrow night so he can help again. He has offered countless times but I know he has to work so one of us needs to be rested. He is on Fall Break next week so I will enjoy him being home with us again! That's just a little bit about our first 13 days of being a family of 4. We are very busy but we are loving it. I am so very thankful for my two beautiful children. Keep me in your prayers as I tackle being home with the two of them by myself for an entire day tomorrow! I made my mom come Monday and tuesday. Wed. Landon and I stayed the day at my grandparents so they could meet him and Lynn kept Adalyn, then today (thursday) Nancy came. I guess it's time I put my big girl panties on and just do it! enjoy some pictures!

The time has come!
Tomorrow is the BIG day! We will welcome our son, Landon Riley Clark, into the world. Oh the emotions I have been feeling! I am so happy, excited, blessed, nervous, and scared all at the same time. I'm thinking it's pretty normal to feel this way so I'm ok with it. Today was the last day it would just be Adalyn and myself. She woke up at 7:30, had her sippy cup of milk, and watched Disney Junior. We do pretty much the same routine every morning and let me tell you, I really soaked it in! I just kept looking at her and I would instantly think back to her birth and all of those sleepless nights we encountered. All I could do was smile. It really just made me look forward to holding a newborn and going through the same phase all over again. yes, it will be on the difficult side at times juggling two, but thank the Lord for Adam is all I can say!(and our families and friends!) Wow. He will do anything in his power to help when needed and esp. when it's not. I am so blessed and honored to have him as my husband and father to our children! Adam just put the car seat in the Tahoe tonight. We have had it in Landon's room and Adalyn plays with it every day. She has to buckle her baby dolls and then she wants to be buckled, too. She is obviously too big for us to buckle her but she likes to lay in it. She is a giant in that thing. Adalyn and I got out of the house for a bit this morning and went to the Post office. She loves going to that place! it's so funny. She really didnt want to leave today and was on the verge of throwing a fit when I put her back in the car. We then went over to see Adam at school. She was a little shy when we walked into his classroom and she saw all of his students. They were about to leave for lunch and as soon as she did, some teachers came in to see her and she put on a show for them. =) Miss personality I tell ya. When we got home, we had lunch and went to sleep! We slept almost 2 hours and I loved every minute of it. When Adam got home, we went outside. I mowed the front yard and Adam pushed her on the swing for a bit. I didn't see any harm in having a lawn mower bounce me around for a little while. Once we finally got back inside, we cooked supper, gave Adalyn a bath, and then played before it was her bed time. I gave her an extra big hug and a kiss tonight. I actually didn't want to let go of her. We told her she would be able to hold Landon tomorrow. She said, "brother". Ah, her little voice is just precious. That's about it. Thank you Lord for blessing us with Adalyn and Landon.

Progress!
Had my 39 week appt. today and I am 2-3 cm dilated and 50% effaced! Last week I was 1.5 cm and she didnt even say anything about being effaced and I failed to ask. So that was very exciting news! Oh yeah- want to know what is just as exciting? I lost 2 lbs! You may be thinking how in the world did you do that? Well, that is a good question. I laughed when i heard I lost 2 lbs and as soon as the nurse walked away I looked at Adam and said if ONLY she knew what I have eaten this past week! Jiffy Burger, Baskin Robins, Chili, Sloppy joes, hahaha. I could go on but I'll save the embarrassment. She made the comment that he is done growing and has absolutely no room to move anymore. and that is definitely the truth. I rarely feel him move now. I feel him way enough to know everything is ok but he seriously is out of space. It was nice to have Adam go with me to the doctor today. He went to every one until school started back up at the end of July. So either my mom or Hope has been tagging along which was great, too. I went by myself last week and that was pretty boring. After the appt., we stopped by The Avenue to walk around and of course I say, "I'm leaving my purse in the car. Maybe we won't buy a thing!" haha, well, The Children's Place was having an awesome sale which we "couldnt" pass up. We then went to Mellow Mushroom to pig out on pizza! I know I know, everyone probably thinks we eat out all the time, etc. but we hardly ever do. We have been trying to get all of our "dates" in before Landon gets here. Aside from my appt. today, my day yesterday consisted of playing with Adalyn and cleaning! I don't know if you would call it nesting, but every day this week I have been cleaning the house. I do a little each day to make it a little easier. Yesterday, Adalyn had a lesson on cleaning toilets and the two bath tubs. I also dusted. today, I swept in preperation for Adam to mop the floors, washed more clothes, and cleaned the kitchen. Then we had to take a break and go outside. It was so hot this morning I thought I was going to die. Adalyn wanted to swing and "hide" around all of our trees as she always does. Then she wanted to pick tomatoes. Well, all the ripe ones were already picked but she proceed to pick anyway and was grabbing all the green ones. I tried to explain they weren't ready but I thought oh what the heck, just let her! We played with chalk and then checked the mail. Other than still going about 100 mph, I can definitely tell my body is ready to have this baby. I had really bad contractions coming home tonight from Murfreesboro. I feel a little better now but Im about to take a bath so I know that will help. Well, hopefully I will blog about our day tomorrow since it's the last day of just my sweet "little" girl and I. I know we will have a wonderful day!

39 weeks!
Ok, so I have made it to 39 weeks! 3 more days to go and then we will welcome Landon Riley Clark into our family! It is just so hard to believe that the time has already come. When Adam and I found out in January we were expecting again, September seemed like an eternity away. My pregnancy flew by and I believe it's because I had Adalyn to occupy my mind. Tonight is a full moon and it is just beautiful. I doubt the old wives tale will come true about me going into labor though. Which is some what ok with me. Today was a busy day for me. I took Adalyn to my parents house a little after 10 this morning. My mom wanted to have her so I decided to get my grocery buying out of the way. I ran a couple more errands and then got a pedicure thanks to my dad for that! That was only the 2nd pedicure I had ever had and I still squirmed a little bit. Adam and I went out to dinner tonight and my mom and Adalyn went to Steve and Ginger's to eat and play with Jonah. Thanks mama for watching her! I picked Jiffy Burger (which is my favorite) and I chowed down on a grilled cheeseburger and french fries. I thought I was about to pop once we left there I was so full. Adam wanted to go to Baskin Robins once we left and I of course did not argue. Even though I was stuffed, who can turn down ice cream? It was really good and we enjoyed our date tonight. During the day my mind keeps racing about things I need to get done, or things I need to remember to pack, etc. I am cleaning a little each day. Washed clothes and our sheets this morning. Just trying to do the things that will probably get ignored for the first few weeks once Landon is here. Mopping is another thing to accomplish this week, too. But poor Adam is going to have to do it for me. I hate using a mop-I feel like I'm just pushing dirt around and I have always mopped on my hands and knees. I would seriously laugh at myself if I even attempted to do this. Other than that, I do believe we are ready! It's the waiting and not knowing if I will really make it to Friday or not that is so tiring!

Discovery Center
We wanted to take Adalyn to the Discovery Center for some fun before her little brother arrived. We knew this would probably be the last "big" outing as a family of three so of course, we wanted it to be lots of fun for her! We were there for 2 hours and did not stop to rest for a minute. Well, I did, but Adalyn sure kept her daddy busy. She played in kroger, the post office, the tree house and a room full of gym mats for babies up to 2 years over and over again. We then ventured out to see all the other "big" kid activites and she had a ball. Clifford was even there so she got a kick out of seeing him. For those who know this, she can FINALLY say his name correctly. I am not even going to tell you what it use to sound like...
She didn't want to sit by him but she did wave and say hi over and over and would also give him a high five.
She also loved the rock pit. There was a little girl in a blue dress who was filling her dress with rocks. Adalyn pointed and said, "Messy!" haha- that's my girl!
She loved playing in the water
Some play time with her mama
She loved climbing in the tree house!
Once we left, we headed over the The Children's Shoe Co. to get her feet measured for new shoes for the fall. We absolutely love that store. As soon as we walk in, there was a little boy getting his feet measured for new shoes, too. After he was done, he walked over to the bubble gum machine so she must follow, too. His mom asked us how old she was b/c she was so tall, etc. We said 21 months and she laughed and said he was about to turn 3! She was almost taller than him. Aside from that, she is in a size 7 shoe now. Actually, one foot is bigger than the other. One foot was a size 7, the other almost a size 8!? What in the world?! It obviously depends on the brand of shoe for the size, but that's truly what they measured her foot as. crazy! big girl is all i can say. Oh, and one more thing. This morning on the way to church, we were passing by Sonic and she points and says, "fries!" hahaha Adam and I just started laughing. She is just like her mama-- loves french fries!

Football Game
Wow, I sure have been on a roll lately when it comes to blogging. unfortunately, I know it will probably come to a major hault when landon gets here. But i am going to TRY to not let that happen! We took Adalyn to the Coffee Pot game tonight. It was also Homecoming. She had a blast! We went to the tailgate party when we first got there. O'Charley's catered it with steak, chicken, and a baked potato. It was good! Adalyn was a little shy for whatever reason and just wanted me or Adam, until she saw Hope! (or hopie as she says) Anyway, we went in and found some seats. She sat with Holly for a little bit then was saying "MAMA" really loud when she decided she wanted to come back to me and adam. I tell you what. this child has the best personality ever. She is such a hoot and had myself, adam, and every person surrounding us laughing at her. She would dance to the music, scream "YAYYYYYY" and "GOOO!!!" when everyone would cheer, and she kept her eyes on the balloons that were lining the fence. Everytime a balloon drifted up in the air, she would put her finger on her chin and say "hummmm". she pigged out on cheetoes and popcorn. Yes, popcorn. I know its "dangerous" but she loves the stuff and eats it so well. Don't worry. We were watching her like a hawk. She kept rubbing her orange fingers all of our shirts or she would put her thumb in my mouth to lick it b/c it was "messy". We left at half time but before we did, she HAD to touch a balloon. She touched her balloon and then off we went! It was a fun night. Ever since I have been home, I have been having more contractions. I do believe I saw a full moon tonight... Anyway- off to bed. Here is my latest belly picture.

I'm officially ready now
Ok, Landon may now come whenever he pleases. I got my hair highlighted, cut and eye brows waxed today. As you all know, these 2 things are very important to a girl. NOW I am ready to have him. haha. I was so nervous he would come before my mom did my hair. I asked Adam this morning if he hears me groan throughout the night. Every time I turned over last night I had a contraction. Everytime I went to pee, I would have a contraction. So uncomfortable. I have them on and off during the day, too. On a different note, Adalyn and I played all day until I left to get my hair done. She is such a character. Anytime she is thinking about what to say, she will put her finger to her chin and say "hummmm". When we say "I love you" she says, "i love you too much" haha. She is trying to say i love you too or I love you very much. It is adorable. She is such a girl and by that i mean all she wants to do is play with her babies. We have to change their diaper numerous times a day since they "poo poo" (in her words- and we must use a wipe) wrap them in a blanket, and buckle them in Landon's car seat. She will then pat her baby on the back and either sing Rock a bye baby... or "Rock-a Rock-a Rock-aaaa" and say "it's ok" if they are crying. I can tell she will be a great big sister. I am doing my best to treasure these last few days with just her before we add Landon. I cry every now and then to Adam about how I'm a little nervous having another baby when Adalyn is just shy of 2 years old. I know its the pregnancy hormones but I just want to make sure I am able to provide for BOTH of my children the love and attention that they both deserve. I have been praying for this for a long time. Anyway, Im going to start supper. Adam and Adalyn are at the farm so it's a Taco Ring for us tonight. yum!

1.5 cm dilated!
Yay! Last week, I was just at a finger tip dilated... this week, 1.5! She said she could feel his head. So, any day now really. I was 2-3 cm with Adalyn for about 2 weeks so I seriously doubt this means I will have him early. Again, which is (semi) fine. In my mind, I still have a lot of things to get organized before he makes his entrance.(finish packing, etc) My parents are staying in a hotel in Nashville next Friday so they will be taking care of Adalyn. Since they will all be there Friday and Saturday, it's just easier to have a place to take her where she can swim, nap, etc. Nancy, my mom, and my self have bought Adalyn a ton of "things" to keep her occupied at the hospital. We have to be there next Friday between 5:30 and 5:45 am. Shew! If the hospital wasnt an hour away from home it wouldn't be so bad! haha But, we will be too excited for that to even matter. I have been having more contractions today but they seem to be a little worse at night though. I had them Sunday pretty bad. They started after Church and lasted all afternoon and evening. Other than that, I am feeling ok. My fingers still hurt which my doctor told me today it's Carpal Tunnel. My blood pressure is perfect, gaining weight (like always haha), and she said she thinks I'll have him pretty fast once the induction has started. Which i hope that is the case! =) I was in labor with Adalyn for 6.5 hours so for a first time birth, I hear that's pretty fast. I'm getting my hair done tomorrow and eye brows waxed. I will feel like a new woman. I'll have Adam take my 38 week belly picture once I look half way decent. =) I must say, this Fall like weather is making me enjoy my sweatpants and socks. Ok landon, mama loves you and we will see you soon!
