Yesterday, I turned 25! I woke up to beautiful flowers, cards, and hugs and kisses from my babies. Well, mainly Adalyn. If Landon knew how to hug and kiss, I'm almost certain he would have. Adam left for work and not too much later, Landon was ready for his morning nap. As I was in his room putting him to sleep, Adalyn was in the living room watching Mickey. (or so I thought). I layed him down and walked in the living room to see no sign of Adalyn but I could hear water running from our bathroom. She can now reach the faucet(ugh!) and loves washing her hands so I knew what she was up to. I walk in to see my sink about to over flow with water. I thought that there was no possible way she could reach behind the facuet to pull the stopper up so as I got closer I noticed chunks of glass sticking out of the drain. That's what was stopping it up. I immediately turned the water off and started looking around just to find a broken cup in the floor. The night before Adam had a glass of milk before we went to bed and put it on our vanity so he could brush his teeth. He forgot to take it to the kitchen so the end result of that is Adalyn was trying to fill the cup up with water, dropped it in the sink, it broke, then she put (or probably threw) it on the floor. The rug was soaking wet in a certain spot where she was playing in the water and her toe was bleeding. She had no idea her toe was bleeding until I pointed it out. then... the whailing began. I cleaned up the glass and made her sit down and to not move. She knew I was serious so Im pretty sure she didn't move a muscle. I cleaned up the blood on her toe, it wasn't anything too serious. No glass was stuck in her toe or anything (thank goodness!) but you would have thought the glass had cut her toe off. She finally calmed down once she realized it wasn't bad. In the middle of her crying, she told me she needed Boo Boo Bunny. (to her, boo boo bunny makes everything all better) Its a bunny that holds an ice thing made for little kids who get boo boos. Before I could get boo boo bunny, she decided she needed a band-aid, too. Which I had planned to give her anyway but she was all excited about having a bandaid on her toe. Finally, she forgot about it and we went on about our morning. Once Landon woke up, I fed him breakfast and nursed him then we played and folded laundry. It was raining during this time and that is normally when we go outside for atleast an hour to play. I am so glad it is warm again. Being stuck inside all winter with a toddler and a baby is quite interesting to say the least. Lunch is at 11:00 or so, I layed Landon in his seat and gave him a Mum Mum to eat to keep him quiet and entertained while I could get lunch ready. By the time lunch is over and the kitchen is cleaned up, Caillou comes on which entertains Adalyn for 30 minutes. (so much so she barely speaks a word) I feed Landon, put him down for his nap, then Adalyn asks for her milk and usually tells me she is ready for her nap. (but only after Caillou is over). Once I got her to sleep, I layed her down, sat down in the recliner, and watched Grey's Anatomy since I missed it Thursday night. Adalyn slept for 2 hours and Landon napped for 3! Happy Birthday to me! Landon normally naps about 2 hours at that nap time but I think his shots he got the day before tuckered him out. By the time he woke up, Adam got home. We played outside and mowed the yard then Adam grilled a pizza for my birthday dinner! (it's a pampered chef recipe and its delicious)We had caramel brownies for dessert which were amazing. Nancy and Adalyn made them for the on Thursday since I don't like cake. Adalyn was so excited about the brownies. I had the candles that read, "Happy Birthday" but on my brownies, they didn't exactly read that way. Adalyn put them where she thought they needed to be and it couldn't have been any better. :)
Here I am with Adalyn after dinner
While we were outside, Adalyn wanted to help daddy mow the ditch. Too cute.
I do believe this was the best birthday yet. I have a wonderful husband and two precious kids who helped in celebrating my 25th birthday!

6 month check up
Landon had his 6 month check up yesterday. The appt. was at 2:45 so Nancy came over while Adalyn was napping so she could watch her while we took Landon to see Dr. Eastham. He weighs 19 lbs 7.5 oz which put him in the 80th% in weight and was 28 3/4 inches long which put him in the 99th% in height!! wow! He is going to be one big kid! He got 2 shots which completely breaks my heart everytime. Bless his heart, he cried for a couple of seconds, turned beat red and got splotchy, then was all better once we fed him. He slept the entire way home. He is perfectly healthy and right on track with his developments.

Farm baby!
I guess I should say naked toddler... We were in Pelham Saturday and it was a beautiful and hot day! I left Landon inside with Nancy for a bit while Jerry, Adam , Adalyn and I played around with the cows and chickens. We headed up to check out the garden when we came across a couple of water puddles in the driveway. She had her cow rainboots on and what just started out as walking through the puddles ended up finishing in rolling in the puddles. I could have kicked myself for not bringing extra clothes for her so before she got TOO wet, I managed to take her shirt off before it got soaked.(thankfully nancy washed her clothes and while we waited on them to finish, she wore some of Adam's clothes from when he was her size) She had a ball. I wished I had brought my camera with me but she was hilarious. When we made our way back to the house, we stripped her down and then picked some flowers. she started walking with the big bouquet of them and of course, I had to grab my camera. I took a lot, but will only post a few since a naked, white, bottom is in plain view!
We then had my birthday lunch which was wonderful. We spent the rest of the afternoon playing outside then headed home and my parents came over for my brithday dinner. My birthday isn't until Friday but they will be out of town so we celebrated this weekend. After we ate and played, Adalyn went home with my mom and dad. Sunday, we woke up and Adam was eager to go outside and work before church since it was so pretty. After church, the kids napped and we pulled weeds and did other odds and ends outside. The kids joined us when they woke up and we went on a walk, washed my car, then ate an early dinner and headed to church. It was a great weekend!

6 months old!
Can you believe it? Landon is 6 months old today! WOW! It is hard for me to wrap my mind around. Before we had kids, I always heard the saying, "Time goes by so fast". To me, it really never did. It always seemed like it was going to be FOREVERRRR before we were on summer break from school, or until we went on our next vacation, or until Adam and I got married, and I could go on and on. Now, in a blink of an eye, I have a beautiful 2 year old daughter and a 6 month old baby boy! Seriously, time has never gone by so fast! To update you on my now 6 month old, he has 1 tooth, (2nd one should be anytime now!), he is sitting up, very close to crawling, (he is trying so hard!) drinks from his sippy cup and loves it, he is wearing 6-9 month and 9 month clothing, still is size 3 diapers, rolls to get where he wants to go, he is a tummy sleeper, drools like crazy, is saying " da da da da" (adam's pretty proud of that... Adalyn said "ma ma ma first") loves sitting in his highchair to eat, naps great, loves bath time,is very ticklish, he is starting to like his car seat more and more, could sit in his stroller all day while we are outside, just like any baby, will chew on anything that crosses his path, and is in absolute awe of his big sister. He is such a joy and we are so in love!

Landon's 1st tooth
Tuesday, March 13, Landon's 1st tooth finally broke the skin! For the past week, we were able to see both teeth under his gums, waiting to break thru any day. He has been a drooling water fountain for months now it seems like so we new a tooth would be to blame! He has wanted his paci more than normal. Not really to suck on, but he turns it sideways and chomps on it all the while "talking" in his baby talk. He throws some moans in there, too. Poor thing. Im glad we don't have to teethe as adults. His 2nd tooth should be popping through any day, more like any minute. I have tried to take a picture of his new accomplishment, but he won't let me get too close. =) Who can blame him?
He has also been doing this with his mouth this past week... He just sucks and sucks. I guess he is trying to figure out what that sharp object is in his mouth. It is so cute!

Sitting Up
I am excited to announce Landon is officially sitting up on his own! At the beginning, he would sit up best if a toy was in front of him. Now, I am able to sit him down and even walk into another room if I need to and when I come back, he is still sitting! I love all of these new milestones. It's so exciting! I have mentioned this before, but he is dying to crawl. I give it a few more weeks and I bet he will be a boy on the move.

A day on the farm
Saturday morning we woke up, got ready, and headed to Pelham for the day. Adalyn stayed the night with Jerry and Nancy Friday so we were pretty eager to see her :) The farm is just about her favorite place to be. She's 2 years old and will learn so much just by being around the farm. As soon as we got there, it was around 8 I guess, we took Landon inside to stay with nancy and we met Jerry and Adalyn at the store and ate breakfast. She loves going there to eat. She ate 1 piece of bacon and a biscut and when she was done, she wanted to roam around and find gummies. She picked out peach rings but they were hard as a rock and truly disgusting. I threw them away and we gave her some gummies when we got back to the house. We then went to feed the chickens and gather the eggs. Which is another thing she loves to do. She will even let the chickens peck her hand to get the feed. That's one thing she has up on me b/c I don't want them pecking at me! She pretty much laughs the entire time she is feeding them and picking up eggs. I guess the sounds they make and the way they move so fast is funny to her. We then walked out to see the cows. I wish people could see her when she is around cows. She is in total awe of them. After we stayed with the cows for a while, I went inside to feed Landon. After that, Adam, Adalyn and I headed 5 minutes down the road to Brian and Logans house to give the other cows a bail of hay. The whole family was outside playing so we joined in the fun, too! Adalyn has a lot of cousins around her age which makes for great entertainment. THey played on the swing set and jumped on the trampoline. I hadn't been on a trampoline in YEARS. After jumping on this one, it made me and ADam want one. ha. I'd say we will end up getting one eventually. After a lot of playing, we headed back to Jerry and Nancy's for lunch. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green beans, and rolls. Yum. Adalyn was so very sleepy she didn't even make it to lunch. As soon as we got there, I sat down with her and rocked her and within 5 mintues she was out. I layed her down and we ate then I fed Landon. He fell asleep soon after so I decided to take a nap, too. We all ended up sleeping around 2 1/2 hours. When we woke up, we went back outside to see the cows. This time, landon joined us. This was his very first time being around them. I guess you could say he was speechless. I sure hope he enjoys being around them as much as his sister does. After we introduced Landon to the cows, we headed inside so I could feed him once again and then we went back to Brian and Logan's for a great dinner. The weather was gorgeous on Saturday and it was so warm. I am so ready for Spring to officially arrive.

Thursday
Last Thursday Hope and Liam came over to play. Just about every Thursday they come over to hang out with us. It was a warm day (but windy) so we put the babies in their strollers and we went for a walk. Adalyn walked with us. That day a double stroller would have came in so handy! Adalyn would normally prefer to walk but since Landon and Liam were in their strollers, she wanted to be in hers, too. Any other day she is trying to bust out of the buckle to run free. Liam fell asleep on our walk and everytime I would peek at Landon he was just relaxed as could be looking around. After our walk, we played with chalk then Adalyn wanted to swing. We came in for lunch and Hope and Liam left shortly after. When they got there that morning we played in Landon's room for a bit.
Adalyn loves when Liam is here. She talks to him just like she talks to Landon. She calls him "bubba" and "baby Liam" and kisses on him and always feels the need to put his paci in his mouth for some reason. Hope put Liam in the excersaucer and I stood Landon up by it so he could hold on and check Liam out. Landon started grabbing for his face. It was too cute. Hope recorded it on her phone and wouldn't you know, my video camera was dead. That always happens to me for some reason!

Playdate with the boys
We had a playdate at Carla's yesterday. Landon and Liam met Gavin for the very first time. Carter was there to help out and be a "momma" to the babies. Adalyn had a bad cough and snotty nose so I didn't think she should be around the other babies. She spent the night with my parents Sunday night so mom just kept her until our playdate was over. Liam slept pretty much the entire time, Gavin was awake most of the time and just looked around, and Landon rolled on the floor and played with toys. I can't wait until they are big enough to actually play with each other. I can just see them running and getting into things together as they get older.
The momma's and our boys!
When we took this picture, Landon was more than ready to eat. He was starting to whine so this is how one of the pictures turned out...
Can't wait for our next get together!

To the attic it goes
I have officially put up another toy of Landon's. First his swing, now his play gym. That play gym was endless entertainment for him for months. Now, it does nothing for him. As soon as I lay him under it, he flips over and continues to do so until he has some how managed to flip and wiggle his way out from under it. I like the fact that i have one less thing to clutter my living room but we will soon be adding another toy to take up more space. The jumper-roo.It's boxed up in the attic so we will get it down this weekend. Adalyn was never a "jumper" of a baby. I have seen babies who jump like crazy. She would just hop a little. Maybe Landon will be one of those babies who loves to jump. In other news, he is doing really well sitting up. He is getting better everyday. He sits up longer if there is a toy in front of him.
I've seen it all
Yesterday morning I could have sworn my eyes popped out of my head. It was around 8:00 and I was walking through the living room to put Landon down for his nap. As I was doing so, I noticed Adalyn standing in front of the recliner with her hands in her diaper. As I examined even closer, I noticed pee was shooting out of her diaper onto the carpet and all over her pajamas. UMM HELLO?? What are you doing?! I quickly put Landon in his bed and rushed back to the living room. Come to find out, Adalyn was trying to "catch" her pee pee with her hands. Needless to say, I was not happy. Not only did it get on the carpet and her pajamas, as soon as she took her hands out of her diaper she put them on the recliner. I cleaned the carpet, the recliner, and threw her clothes in the wash along with another load. I explained how this was NOT acceptable and to never do it again. We shall see.... Today, the story is funny. Yesterday, it was not. I know one day when I read back on this story, I will find it hilarious. Today though, it's still just funny. I think I need a couple more days for it to be hilarious. Oh Adalyn my dear- you keep it interesting!
