Thursday morning marked day 7 of our summer vacation. I know I have already mentioned this but we had the best weather every single day! So we woke up to bright sunshine and a Yellow flag!! All days prior we had a red flags with really large waves but on this day, it was much much calmer. We enjoyed a FULL day on the beach yet again!
This is how my morning started off...
snapping some pictures of these cuties!
I love his hand on that hip! haha
This girl has the very best head of hair I have ever seen.
This is one of my favorites of Landon! I already have it framed in his room :)
So blessed!
Adam found a hermit crab in the ocean and Landon was taking a gooood look at it
;)
This chair was my best friend :)
It reclined so I would drag it out to the water and just lay and soak up the sun.
Ahhhhhhh
Adalyn and my dad way out there!
This made me laugh when I saw my mom had captured all the "steps" it takes to attempt a family photo
;)
Here are a few more random ones from our afternoon
My parents headed back to the room around 3:30 to get ready to go out that night. Adam and I and the kids hung out at the beach for another hour or so before we called it a day.
We eventually left the beach and headed to the condo for showers and clean clothes. Adam grilled steaks for us for supper then we took the kids back down to the beach around sunset for pictures.
Consider this your warning... I have lots of pictures to share!
Whew. If you made it through, thanks for hanging on.
:)
After we wrangled with the kids for photos, we headed back up to the room to change into our bathing suits. Although I didn't. I was so sunburnt I just felt cold so I didn't really feel like swimming so I sat in a chair and watched. It was pretty relaxing actually :)
Landon reminds me so much of Adalyn when she was 3 1/2. Starting on this vacation, he is all about swimming with his floaties off. He does so good! He can swim from the steps to one of us and we can keep moving back until he reaches us. On this particular night, we took his floaties off and he "dove" for a diving toy in the deep end. Adam would wait until it floated to the bottom and then Landon would take a deep breath and Adam would push his body all the way down. He would grab it and come up kicking as fast as he could and would immediately say, " I want to do it again!"
I have it on video and smile every time I watch it on my phone.
Both of our kids love the water and for that, I am very grateful for!
After they went swimming, we walked on the beach and looked for crabs. They are all over the place at night and the kids had so much fun holding flashlights and chasing them down. It was late by the time we get back to our room so we put on our pjs, ate a snack and watched some TV then went to sleep.
We had a very loooong Thursday! But what a blast it was!
