Let's rewind to October because I have let 2015 come to an end without documenting all the things that happened in October, November and December! So, I'll be playing catch up. Here it goes!
Adam and I flew home from Turks and Caicos on Wednesday during Fall Break. Thursday morning the kids had their dentist appointments. Landon was due for his first set of x-rays and Adam and I secretly wondered how well that would go. Both kids did terrific with their cleanings and as you can see, Ant Man accompanied Landon while he had his cleaned.
We were so shocked as to how well he did with this. This kid has no fear, except when it comes to haircuts. No joke. So we were curious as to how well he would handle sitting in that chair with the heavy apron on and having to hold something in his mouth while they took pictures of his teeth. Y'all, he did awesome! He didn't say a word and let them do everything they needed to.
Clean teeth!!
After the dentist, we went to Chick-fil-a for breakfast. I think their appointment was at 8:00 so we were all pretty hungry. They love going there so we played and ate, then headed towards home.
We had a surprise up our sleeve that had been planned before we left for our trip that Adalyn didn't know about. Instead of taking the normal route home, we were going in a different direction when the questioning started.
"Where are we going?" "This isn't how we get home!" "Daddy! Why are you going this way?" Questions like that then turned into,
"This is the way to Chloe's house. I remember. This is the way."
"Mommmmmma? Are you taking me to Chloe's house?"
It was priceless. Both kids were so excited when we pulled in their driveway.
The kids played at their house for a little while then we loaded Chloe up and headed home. The kids played and played then that night after supper, we headed out for frozen yogurt. Yum!
Tim, Shawnda and Judson ended up meeting us there so Landon had his buddy with him, too.
Fun was had by all! I love surprising the kids like that!
That was such a heartwarming story! I'm impressed with the fact that you not only took care of your kid's needs, but you also awarded them a great time after the trip to the dentist. That is very wise of you because now, in the future, there should be no whining when it's time for a checkup.
