Tuesday, May 24, Adalyn graduated from Kindergarten! Where her first year of school went is beyond me. It went by SO fast, just as people told me it would.
Adalyn has had the BEST year and we are beyond grateful for her amazing, caring and passionate teacher. She has grown by leaps and bounds academically and has gained some serious confidence! It has been so rewarding to see Adalyn grow and mature this year.
She LOVES school and was a great leader in her class. I have always said she is a "little momma" who wants to help others and make sure they are all following the rules at all times. I heard some pretty funny stories this year regarding her and getting up in the middle of class to turn off the light because the kids wouldn't stop talking. hahahaha.
She listens well, follows directions easily and compliantly and is just the most precious little girl you could meet!
1st grade just sounds SO big to me. Kindergarten was a huge milestone, but they are still considered "little", but something about 1st grade makes me realize she's in the big leagues now! She will be turning 7 and before I know it, I 'll be sending her to 2nd grade this time next year. What's so funny is I remember almost everything single thing about my 1st grade year. Seriously. Right down to how our desks were arranged.
I am so excited to watch her grow, mature, and learn even more.
Landon will be in Pre-K next year which pulls at my heart strings even more since he is my last. I feel like all of a sudden these little people that I've been taking care of all day, every day, are big and in school. My kiddos are growing up and it excites me and terrifies me at the same time.
We missed Papaw during this special ceremony due to a broken hip, but we took lots of pictures for him to see!
My little book worm!!
There are 2 kindergarten classes and they sang around 4 songs that they had been working on in Music class. The songs were adorable!
Her class sat right in front of us and had their names taped on their chairs. We had no idea where she was assigned but we happened to luck up getting her in front of us!
(tears) Oh my baby girl!
The slide show was so awesome and such an awesome keep sake to have. Each student got one along with a personalized folder of their entire Kindergarten year.
You can be anything you want to be sweet girl!
Friends!
Below with Mrs. Moon on her very first day compared to the top picture on her last day.
What a year it has been!
After the ceremony, they had cupcakes and punch and then we headed into her classroom to see her goodies on her desk from Mrs. Moon. Such wonderful keepsakes we have to remember her very first year of school!
I saw this hanging in the hallway :)
I am so proud of this girl.
Now that it's summer, I don't have to wake her up in the mornings! WAHOO- can I get an amen?!? Oh my goodness, this girl likes her sleep!!
Sleep on baby girl- you did it!
Off to 1st grade we go!
