What a sweet day it was! I started off with lots of homemade cards and goodies the kids made at school- what is better than that? We headed off to church then to my parents for the afternoon. We have chicken salad sandwiches and different types of pasta/macaroni salads. Delicious! Then we set up the slip n slide for the kids and they had an absolute ball! We were outside all afternoon- it was great!
Adalyn declared this dress the best twirly dress EVER
Landon was so attached to Max! He kept asking me over and over and take his picture with him-precious!
We left around 4:45 to make our way home to get ready for Jerry and Nancy to come over for dinner. Both kids fell asleep within 5 minutes of being in the car. Once home, Adam and I unloaded the car and then they woke up and came on inside. Adalyn walked herself to her room, pulled a blanket on her and went to sleep. We grilled chicken and had lots of different sides to go with it. While cooking, we tried multiple times to wake Adalyn up but she wouldn't budge so we just let her sleep! Poor thing missed supper, missed Memaw and Papaw, missed jumping on the trampoline and playing outside. She woke up at 7:45 and looked at me and said, "What did I miss? Why did my body do that?! Why did I sleep?!" lol Poor thing was so bummed she missed our evening! But, she was so exhausted so the sleep was good for her. I fixed her a peanut butter and jelly sandwich for her supper and then by 8:30 or so, we put the kids to bed. So needless to say, that girl had a LOT of rest and woke up Monday morning with me asking her only ONE time to get up! lol I normally have to say her name a few times before she gets herself up haha. We had a great night with memaw and papaw, just hate Adalyn slept through all the fun!
