Cows poop

For the past few weeks, Adalyn has really been into the word poo-poo. She says it all the time. i guess that's because we talk about it all the time. Just so she will get use to the potty. Anyway, she has this certain baby doll that she loves and plays with all the time. Every morning after she is finished drinking her milk, she takes her sippy cup to her baby so she can have some "mil" too. Then, she immediately says "Poo poo!!" and walks her baby to either the bathroom for me to sit her doll on the potty or to her bedroom so we can change her diaper. She opens up her dresser door and pulls out a diaper. Her diapers have Seasame Street characters on them so she sorts through them until she has found Elmo. She proceeds to lay her baby down and put her diaper on . It is the cutest thing. well, besides her baby doll, another thing we talk about ALL the time are cows. She LOVES cows. She would probably pick a cow for a pet over a dog anyday. adam told me that Saturday when they went to the farm, he took her to see the cows and all she would say was "cows! poo poo!" hahaha. nancy asked her if they needed a diaper and she shook her head, yes. She is almost 19 months old now, which is hard to believe, and she is getting smarter and smarter everyday. Whenever we are in the car, Adam proceeds to tell me about every pasture we pass on the road and what they are doing. Either cutting hay, bailing hay, etc. She must be catching on to our daily talks about Hay bails and tonight as we were coming home, we passed a field of hay bails and she points out the window and says, "hay! hay!" over and over again. adam was pretty proud. =) Such a smarty we have on our hands!

Memorial Day Weekend

We had such a good weekend! The weather was perfect. Friday night Adam had to be an escort thing for graduation so Adalyn and I stayed home and played. She was asleep by the time he got home. Before he left, I got a huge craving for brownies. That's all I could talk about. Well, when he gets home that night, he has a box of brownies in a food lion bag. sweet! I baked them and we had a late night snack. Thanks babe! Saturday Adam took Adalyn to the farm for the day while I had a day to myself. Much needed. I went to my parents and layed out all day long. It was so nice. I have been so pale so i was determined to get sun. I actually got pretty burnt- as did landon. My belly is so red! I made sure to cover him up every so often. I guess he was pretty hot because he basically kicked and punched me the entire time. When I got home, I put a lasagna in the oven, fixed some salads, and cleaned a little before they got home. Sunday was Church then we headed home for a nap. adalyn usually naps before we leave for Sunday School but didnt so we hadn't even been out of the church parking lot for 5 minutes and she is passed out in her car seat. She napped for about an 1 1/2 or so then we got ready and headed to the lake to meet my uncle and aunt on the boat. adalyn's 1st time on the boat was memorial day last year and she was 6 1/2 months old.

and this year--

Today, (Monday) we were home until lunch, then headed to Wal-Mart to buy groceries and burgers. We then went to my parents to swim and adalyn is definitely a water baby. She was 7 months old when we put her in swimming lessons last year and she loved it then. It's amazing to see how much she loves it this year. She kept jumping off the side of the pool to Adam which was pretty impressive. She kept saying, "gin gin" (again). She likes floating on her stomach and kicking. she says, "kick kick kick" over and over. Jerry and nancy came over and we grilled out. It was such a nice day.
and I have to post a picture of her curlsShe may look nothing like me, but she definitely got those curls from me!

Quick post

This post will be short and to the point with no pictures. Just an update on us! We are LOVING our new house! I have yet to take pictures of everything but will very soon. We have a huge yard that Adalyn loves to run around in. We have been busy organzing, planting flowers, going for walks in the neighborhood, and tilling up our garden. I am embroidering full time during the week now as opposed to 7:30-11:30 every night- which was getting OLD. I sew 2-3 times a week all day long and I am so thankful I am able to focus on this! I quit my job and to be honest, I believe it was the BEST decision I have ever made. I am a totally different person being away and in a different setting. I am finally back to the old me and that's how it should be. I now can focus on my family at ALL times!!! Which is the world to me. Some people just can't understand that but that's their loss I guess! =) Adam is almost done teaching for the school year and will start his summer semester for his Ed.S. he graduates in Decemeber! Wahoo! Our summer will be spent traveling-- a lot! Ocala, Disney, Panama City, Helen, Ga, and where ever else our heart desires I guess. Well, that's a short wrap up about the Clark's. thanks to all my family and true friends for the support and love!

It's a BOY!

I had my 20 week appointment today and we found out we are having a little boy! Adam and I have not stopped smiling all day long. Deep down I wanted a boy and kind of thought it may be only because my pregnancy has been so different than Adalyn's. I was SICK for 15 weeks with her and with him its been so much easier! I have always told Adam that I hope our next one is just like him- laid back and relaxed. Adalyn does not look a thing like me but oh she has my personality! ha! We are naming our son Landon Riley. Riley is his late granddad's middle name and we have had Landon picked out for years. Now that we are having a boy, I will definitely need some advice from you ladies who are mothers to boys. I understand they pee everywhere all the time, but other than that, what should I be aware of? If we were to have had a girl, she would have been SET when it came to clothes- now we are starting from scratch! Adam and I bought Landon a TON of clothes today which was fun. I see a lot of blue in my future.
Me at 20 weeks 3 days

Meet Landon!
