Adalyn's 2nd tooth is out!

Last Wednesday, Adalyn lost her first tooth. We knew the second tooth would fall out any day it was so loose. Well, two days later on Friday night, it came out!
She and I were finishing cleaning up the kitchen and we were sitting at the bar while Adam was giving Landon a bath. She was playing with a bottle of fingernail polish I had just bought and some how she bumped her mouth with it. Her face immediately froze and she said "momma". I saw blood instantly so I knew it was time for it to go! I grabbed a paper towel and walked her into the bathroom where Adam was so he could pull it. One tiny yank later and it was out!
Two teeth gone in the matter of two days!
Talk about one excited girl and one busy toothfairy.

2 teeth out!

You can see her permanent teeth are already working their way up

Excited to stick her tooth down that tooth pocket on her pillow.

The tooth fairy visited once again and left her with some shimmery dollar bills.
I think seeing the shimmer on her money made her more excited than loosing the tooth. She says it's the tooth fairies wing dust
:)

My girl just keeps growing up on me!!!

Adam is turned into a human sundae

Adam is such a good sport! He was willing to be turned into a "human sundae" if his school reached a certain goal. The goal was met, so he was turned into a slimey mess!
I wish I could have been there to witness the fun all the kids had with it, but I received lots of pictures and video from teacher friends so I felt like I was there. :)

He had old farm clothes layed out for him to grab when he left that morning but he realized he left them at home when he went to change. He was able to snag down some old pants that were WAY too short on him and an old shirt.
I cracked up when my phone was flooded with pictures of him. Hilarious!

He said as soon as they dumped the melted ice cream on his head it went straight in his ear. yuck!
After he was hosed down, he went home to take a shower before going back to school.
Such a fun thing for the kids to do!

Adalyn lost her 1st tooth

Adalyn's two bottom teeth have been so loose for weeks now! One more lose than the other, but we knew they would both be out in no time. Once I got home from work yesterday afternoon, one was just barely hanging in there. We tried the apple trick but that didn't work, we both tried twisting it and pulling but just couldn't get it out. I pulled out the video camera so I could document her on camera while she still had ALL of her baby teeth. I just knew it would come out literally any minute so now looking back, I am so glad I thought to do that!

Adam was out of town so it was just the kids and I for the night. I decided to do something a little different than our typical supper and stopped by Sonic and grabbed dinner. We then went on to Church and ate on the picnic tables by the playground. The weather was great! She kept wiggling that tooth and I was waiting for her to take a bite and it just fall out. After they ate, they took off to play. She then was telling Libby and Jaime about her loose tooth and Jaime mentioned she had a pretty good track record with pulling teeth and asked her if she could do it. She didn't hesitate and walked right over to her. Jaime grabbed a napkin and one tiny yank and it was out! I was SO excited! Adalyn I don't think realized it was already out so she stood pretty still for a second. lol We had sonic napkins we used to catch the blood and then she ran straight to Ms. Lynn's class to show her. I cleaned out her mouth and after a little bit, the bleeding stopped.
Adam hated he wasn't there to see it but we sent him lots of pictures!
What a neat way to remember your first tooth being pulled-by Ms. Jaime while having fun at Church. So many good things happen at Church! Couldn't think of a better place for this to happen at.
What a great memory to have!

Before bed, I snapped a few more pictures to document the loss of her first tooth!

You can see that the two permanent teeth have already started to come through. You can also tell her other tooth is a little lopsided looking! It's also very loose.

She was so excited to put her tooth fairy pillow to use!

The first thing Landon asked Adam this morning was,
"Did the tooth fairy come?!"
We had to explain to him last night and then again this morning that she only visits kids who have lost a tooth. Your day will come big guy!

Adalyn was thrilled to see that $5.00 had been left for her. Each dollar bill had shimmering dust on it as well and that made her even more excited.
She said, " Look! The tooth fairies wing dust landed on my money!"

Pretty creative, huh?
;)

So needless to say, May 20, 2015 will be entered into her baby book!

Preschool graduation last week, first tooth pulled this week.
Whoa- time slow doooown!

Preschool Graduation 2015

Adalyn graduated from Preschool last Thursday! This has been a day we have been discussing for weeks in our house. Adalyn kept what songs they were going to be singing a pretty good secret because she wanted it to be a surprise for us. Anytime I would try to sneak it out of her, she would smile and say,"It's got to be a surprise!"

On Tuesday when I dropped the kids off at school, I immediately noticed the walls were SO bare when we walked in. That instant right there just about took my breath away! Silly, I know, but it really hit me that this was their last week, and most importantly, Adalyn's last week of preschool ever. Their classrooms were empty. Pictures off the walls, papers already in their cubbies ready to go home with all the students
Once I dropped them off with Lynn, I cried all the way down the hallway and back to my car. That really is not like me! I surprised myself for crying about something as little as bare walls but I'm telling you, it hit me hard! I am just SO excited for Adalyn. As a parent, it amazes you to watch your child grow and develop in their own little ways. When they are babies, you can't wait for them to laugh at you, hold their own bottle, sit up, crawl, walk, get rid of the pacy, take milk from a sippy cup, and be 100% potty trained. All of these are milestones that every single parent waits so patiently for. Starting Kindergarten is a huge  milestone for a child! You teach your child daily for 5 years how to talk, you teach them their colors, shapes, and letter sounds. And then the time finally comes to send them off into the hands of a teacher all day long. It's just so so exciting and she is thrilled about starting. Kindergarten is a daily conversation in our house and I am so thankful for her enthusiasm!

I am thrilled Landon gets to return back to our church preschool in August. There is nothing like having your child in a Godly envirnoment learning from Godly people.
I snapped some "last day of school" photos of the kids before we left the house Thursday morning.

Graduation started at 11:00 and both grandparents were able to come watch, too!

The 2 year old and 3 year old class sang a few songs before the graduation actually started.
We were in the front row and once Landon realized we were in the front row, he got SO excited and kept waving and smiling at all of us. It was adorable!

This is Max. He was the mascot in the PreK class this year. Each student was able to take Max home from a Thursday- Tuesday to take care of him.
We had a lot of fun with Max when we had him with us!

Self portraits of the graduates
:)

I love the mouth full of teeth Adalyn gave herself-ha!

Landon's class

I love this little guy!

See how excited he was?

The graduates!

Mrs. Libby asked each student what they learned while at preschool and Adalyn's response was, " I learned about God and Jesus".
Be still my heart!

Our little graduate!

Ms. Lynn has watched Adalyn since she was 3 months old. We love her more than words can say and I will forever be thankful for the love and care she gives Adalyn and Landon on a day to day basis!

They served pizza, cupcakes and drinks to everyone after the graduation ceremony. It was a great lunch!

Landon and Judson and connected at the hip. The love they have for one another is so so sweet. I absolutely love watching these two together!

Hard to believe Adalyn will be making her way to Kindergarten in a few short months.

I love comparison pictures.
Such a good way to track their growth!
Her hair has grown so much and she is losing that baby face.
Far left is the first day of preschool in August 2013- 3 1/2 years old
Middle- First day in August 2014
Last- Last day of Preschool May 2015

For fun, this was her last day of school last May!
What a difference a year makes!

Landon started preschool in January.
Even though it has just been 5 1/2 months, he has changed SO much!

These pictures will always be so special to me!

Here's to a fun summer and an exciting start to a new school year in August!
