First softball season has come to an end!

Towards the end of June we celebrated with a Closing Ceremony to wrap up the Fastpitch season. This marked her very first year of playing ball! A sport that is so dear to my heart, I secretly hope she loves the sport with everything she has just like I did (do). I started praying for who her coaches and teammates would be when I signed her up in January and we were so blessed with wonderful coaches and awesome new friends from her team! Her team, as well as the other 6U teams, had around 7 girls on it. We practiced twice a week and played a game on Monday or Thursday at 5:00. I am so proud of her accomplishments this year and can't wait to watch her grow! I really had so much fun watching her play even though at times it was totally stressful- HA!
Have you watched 4-6 year olds play a ball game?
Then you feel me.
hahaha

2 of her biggest fans

She was SO excited to get her very first trophy. The smile never left her face!

Such a great group of girls!

One handed cartwheel in left field- she is so my child!

What a fun season we had!

July 4th Weekend 2015

The days leading up to July 4 were rainy and unseasonably cold. We had plans to be at the lake all weekend but unfortunately the weather had different ideas! But we made the best of it and spent the day at the pool with my parents and Dustin and Christina. It didn't rain during the day so we were able to swim and the sun even popped out from time to time. I should probably rephrase the "we were able to swim" part... the water was absolutely freezing and there was no way I was putting my body through that. haha Adam, my dad and Dustin were good sports though and swam with the kids. And of course the freezing water didn't phase the kids in the least.

This is what Heaven is like for a 3 year old...
Cheetoes, peanut butter and jelly sandwich, juice box, Disney Jr. on TV and super heroes within reach.

Singer!

Landon is swimming a lot without his floaties now. He kicks his little legs so hard. His favorite thing to do is having Adam push him all the way down to the bottom to pick up a pool toy and swim back up.

He was swimming from the side to my dad. Proud of this boy!

Another shot of the distance he is swimming

Boys and their toys!

We grilled burgers and ate outside. It was so nice and relaxing. Christina and I left to buy some fireworks and then we made our way to the park to watch the firework show. Due to the weather and more rain in the forecast that night, they changed the time to 8:30 instead of 9:00 which was a good thing because as we were leaving around 9:05, it came a down pour!

Love these kiddos

We went back to my parents to let the kids play with sparklers. Again, it was pouring rain so we did it on the front porch which caused a smokey mess!

We got home late and went straight to bed!

Adalyn's first 4th of July
4th of July- 2011- we were on the beach!
2012- must have forgotten to blog about that! lol

Father's Day 2015

We returned home from Florida on Saturday and woke up the next morning and it was Father's Day! Jerry and Nancy came over for steak that night. We were still pretty tired from our trip so I didn't take many pictures! I did manage to snap a picture of the card the kids and I got for Adam. I make a card for him each year and he really loves getting them! We are going to add this one to his office.

I am so blessed to have Adam as my husband and father to our children. Adam is the most incredible father to Adalyn and Landon and everyday I am amazed at how he engages them, interacts with them, and makes life fun for them. Knowing that Adam is with me on this parenting journey is a wonderful feeling, and I thank God for the man he is!

Happy Father's Day Adam!
and to my awesome daddy and wonderful father-in-law!
So thankful for the men in my life!
