My 27th Birthday!

My 27th birthday fell on a Sunday this year and I loved that it did! Nothing like going to Church and spending the rest of the day with your family. I woke up to birthday cards, flowers, Oreos ;), and a pair of Toms! After Church, we headed straight to my parents. We had BBQ sandwiches for lunch then we all watched Frozen and took a long nap. There is nothing a mother wants more than a nap on a Sunday afternoon. :) I am so glad my kids love to nap, too! When we woke up, the kids played and got in the hot tub with Adam. Adam then had to leave for a quick meeting at Church and while he was gone, my mom and I started dinner. By the time Adam arrived back at the house, dinner was almost ready!
I requested fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, green beans, corn on the cob, mashed potatoes and rolls! (talk about carb overload, huh? BUT, I only turn 27 once! ;)
I didn't even eat the corn or mashed potatoes, I was so full from everything else! My birthday dessert was an oreo dessert my mom and Adalyn made for me. Since I do not like cake, this oreo dessert is my "cake"! And oh was it delicious!

My day (after Church) was spent in sweats with my family and eating my favorite foods- what more could I ask for?! I am so blessed!
I had a wonderful birthday!

I have spent every birthday with Adam since I turned 15.
How cool is it that now at 27, I am spending it with my 4 and 2 year old?
Blessed!!

I love my momma!

and I love my daddy!

So thankful for these two!

Oh yeah! I almost forgot. Another thing that made this birthday so special is the fact that Adalyn can sign her name (and Landon's!) on my card.
Just yet another sign that she is growing up on me!
See her rainbow to the left? And the two sunshines on the right?
LOVE

The circles are balloons :) and you can see where she wrote Landon's name underneath hers.

Spring pictures!

Last Saturday morning we got the kids dressed and headed to Pelham like we always do every Saturday morning. This time though we were meeting Brandy and Hunter to snap some pictures of all three kids in the buttercup field. We met at 9:00 and the kids did an awesome job! The weather was perfect and we had such a great time. Adam and I learned about this field not too long after we were married. That first March of our marriage, I remember stopping by to take our picture in it before going to dinner in Chattanooga. I don't have that picture with me since I'm not on our home computer so I'll try to add it later if I can remember.

When Adalyn was 16 months old, we took her to the field for the first time.

I was 8 weeks pregnant with Landon when we took these pictures- and no one knew!

The following March meant Adalyn was 28 months old and Landon was 5 1/2 months old. I don't remember why we didn't think to take them. It probably had something to do with lack of sleep. Yeah, that's it.

The next March (2013) Adalyn was 3 and Landon was 18 months old. I remember this day just like it was last week! These years keep going by faster and faster!

Sweet kiddos

This year was extra special because Hunter was able to be apart of them! He is 6 months old and is just so darn cute! He has the longest eyelashes ever (lucky thing!) The entire time we were taking pictures and moving the kids from one spot to the other, he did not make a sound. Adalyn toted him around like he was a baby doll and he gladly let her do it. He is so calm and just loves taking everything in.
I had so much fun taking their pictures!

My mom has a really huge frame that holds a 16X20 photo. She has changed it out every couple of months since my kids were babies. In November, she was able to add a photo of all 3 of her grandkids. She was wanting an updated one and since Christopher and Brandy came in last weekend, we knew the buttercup field would be the best place to go!

Towards the end, Landon found some sticks. As I started taking his picture, I couldn't help but to think that that is so him. A little boy and their sticks. He immediately got into "pirate" mode and started saying, "Aghh!"
I just love all this boy stuff!

HAPPY SPRING!
Can't wait to visit the buttercup field again next year!

Life from my iPhone

Just a quick update for everyone via a few pictures from my phone.

Just another day on the farm.

This was after a really big rain and they had to walk through every water puddle they saw.

We had a warm afternoon a few weeks ago. My dad was at the house helping Adam build the frame for our bathroom mirror and I let the kids dig in our flower pots on the deck. They played in the dirt for about 30-40 minutes without arguing.
I didn't care what kind of mess they were making.
I will let them play in those flower pots every.single.day. if they will play nicely with each other.

I can't remember what afternoon this was, it's been a week or so ago. I walked in to wake Adalyn up from her nap and this is how I found her.

So glad the weather is getting warmer!
We all got push-ups at the store the other day while we were farming.

My little Gymnast the past two weeks at class.
Everytime she gets on the uneven bars, she stops and looks at me and says,
"Take my picture!"
Somebody loves the camera...

She loves doing handstands!
She reminds me so much of myself when I was younger.
I tumbled everywhere I could.
In the kitchen, in my room, in the yard, at Church, in the hallways at school.
She does the same thing and I love to watch her!

I have a hutch in our kitchen that the love to play in and there are two cabinets at the bottom that are big enough for them to get in.
Well, they discovered the very bottom shelf and thought it would be a good idea to both squeeze in there.
It was a fail.

After bath one night.
Adalyn loves to tote him around.
Sometimes he lets her, sometimes he doesn't.
She got lucky on this night.

Adalyn before school on Tuesday.
Such a sweet, sweet girl!

Sunday evening Adam had a meeting at Church before service started. While he was in the meeting, the kids and I played outside. It was such a warm, beautiful afternoon!

As soon as I got home from work yesterday, Adam had to head back to church for another meeting. We played outside and when we came back in, Landon started playing with his tractors and diggers. He had a small bowl of Goldfish and he would scoop each cracker up with his Bobcat and dump it in the dump truck. He had a ball doing this and thought it was hilarious.

Then he ate them!
He was so proud!

Then I flipped the camera to where he could see himself on the screen.
He immediately started making these faces all on his own. It was hilarious.

Isn't he cute?

Pigeon Forge 2014

I don't know why it has taken me so long to blog about our trip to Pigeon Forge but for whatever reason, it has! For the past couple of years, we have taken a mini-vacay to Pigeon Forge over President's Day weekend. We stayed at a different cabin this year and it was awesome! It was huge- it had 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 half baths, 2 full size kitchens, two living rooms, etc. It was very roomy- we all loved it!
We left after we got off work on Friday, February 14. The kids had their blankets and Tangled playing so they were good to go! It rained on us the entire drive and we stopped right before Knoxville to grab some supper. While we were in Taco Bell, Landon said he needed to pee. Now, you have to understand, when he says he needs to pee while we are out in public, he is either telling the truth or is just trying to figure out a way to get out of his seat. This time, he was telling us the truth. There was no one else in Taco Bell and Adalyn and I heard screaming coming from the bathroom. Adalyn looked at me and said, "Landon peed in the potty!"

We arrived at the cabin and the kids were so excited to see everyone and go exploring. They also wanted to hold "baby Hunter". I can't even remember what time we all went to sleep that night but I know it was late. Adalyn slept with Autumn in her room and we made a really big, thick pallet for Landon to sleep on in our room. Saturday morning we woke up to snow! It was so pretty but melted pretty quick. The guys (minus Landon) spent the whole day at Bass Pro and the knife store. My mom, Autumn, Adalyn, Landon and myself went to Rack Room Shoes and Carter's. Adalyn was in need of new tennis shoes. We tried on a couple different pairs but you can't beat a good pair of Nikes. I had to buy a size 13! The 12.5's fit her well, but I knew by this Fall they would be too small so I went ahead and got the bigger size so she can wear them for a while. Landon fell asleep in the stroller while looking for shoes but when he woke up, he was quite the pill. Our next stop was Carter's and of course you can't walk in that store without buying anything! After we shopped for a bit we headed back to the cabin. That night for supper we had a big shrimp boil and celebrated my dad and brothers birthday!

Here is the downstairs kitchen area

 Snow!

Landon loves "baby Hunter". He wanted to hold him all weekend
Adalyn loves baby Hunter, too. She will be a great babysitter one day!

The birthday boys!

I love this one of these two!

Autumn is 13 years old and when Adam first came around, she was around 15 months old.

My two kiddos absolutely love Casey! He is such a good sport to let them hang all over him all the time!

I'm not sure what we would do without smart phones.

Never to early to learn how to clean!

This picture totally sums Landon up. He carries his books everywhere and will just sit and look at each page over and over again until he's ready to move on to the next book.
 I love it!

Our beautiful view

The kids wanted to "swim" in the hot tub everyday

These pictures are a little out of order but on Sunday, Adam and I went to the outlet mall and shopped! It was such a beautiful warm day and it was nice to be able to be together for a few hours and enjoy shopping in peace. :) We grilled steaks that night and the kids played and played. Monday morning we all packed up and made our way back home.

It's pretty safe to say we ate the entire weekend, but that's what you do on vacation, right? ;)

Can't wait to go back!
