Pigeon Forge 2014

I don't know why it has taken me so long to blog about our trip to Pigeon Forge but for whatever reason, it has! For the past couple of years, we have taken a mini-vacay to Pigeon Forge over President's Day weekend. We stayed at a different cabin this year and it was awesome! It was huge- it had 6 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, 2 half baths, 2 full size kitchens, two living rooms, etc. It was very roomy- we all loved it!
We left after we got off work on Friday, February 14. The kids had their blankets and Tangled playing so they were good to go! It rained on us the entire drive and we stopped right before Knoxville to grab some supper. While we were in Taco Bell, Landon said he needed to pee. Now, you have to understand, when he says he needs to pee while we are out in public, he is either telling the truth or is just trying to figure out a way to get out of his seat. This time, he was telling us the truth. There was no one else in Taco Bell and Adalyn and I heard screaming coming from the bathroom. Adalyn looked at me and said, "Landon peed in the potty!"

We arrived at the cabin and the kids were so excited to see everyone and go exploring. They also wanted to hold "baby Hunter". I can't even remember what time we all went to sleep that night but I know it was late. Adalyn slept with Autumn in her room and we made a really big, thick pallet for Landon to sleep on in our room. Saturday morning we woke up to snow! It was so pretty but melted pretty quick. The guys (minus Landon) spent the whole day at Bass Pro and the knife store. My mom, Autumn, Adalyn, Landon and myself went to Rack Room Shoes and Carter's. Adalyn was in need of new tennis shoes. We tried on a couple different pairs but you can't beat a good pair of Nikes. I had to buy a size 13! The 12.5's fit her well, but I knew by this Fall they would be too small so I went ahead and got the bigger size so she can wear them for a while. Landon fell asleep in the stroller while looking for shoes but when he woke up, he was quite the pill. Our next stop was Carter's and of course you can't walk in that store without buying anything! After we shopped for a bit we headed back to the cabin. That night for supper we had a big shrimp boil and celebrated my dad and brothers birthday!

Landon loves "baby Hunter". He wanted to hold him all weekend
Adalyn loves baby Hunter, too. She will be a great babysitter one day!

The birthday boys!

I love this one of these two!

Autumn is 13 years old and when Adam first came around, she was around 15 months old.

My two kiddos absolutely love Casey! He is such a good sport to let them hang all over him all the time!

I'm not sure what we would do without smart phones.

Never to early to learn how to clean!

This picture totally sums Landon up. He carries his books everywhere and will just sit and look at each page over and over again until he's ready to move on to the next book.
 I love it!

Our beautiful view

The kids wanted to "swim" in the hot tub everyday

These pictures are a little out of order but on Sunday, Adam and I went to the outlet mall and shopped! It was such a beautiful warm day and it was nice to be able to be together for a few hours and enjoy shopping in peace. :) We grilled steaks that night and the kids played and played. Monday morning we all packed up and made our way back home.

It's pretty safe to say we ate the entire weekend, but that's what you do on vacation, right? ;)

Can't wait to go back!
