Thanksgiving 2015

Thanksgiving day is absolutely beautiful! The weather was sunny and warm- it definitely didn't feel like November! This Thanksgiving was also the first Holiday celebrated in my mom and dad's new house. Which, for those of you who don't know, use to be my grandparents house. For about a year (or so), they have been working with architects, builders, and my dad's two workers on a daily basis to add on to the house and to totally update or re-do just about everything! My grandparents house holds such a huge place in my heart. My dad has farmed it my whole life and still does. I have spent so many days and nights staying with my grandparents throughout my life. Something I would give my arm and leg just to do one more time. So with my parents moving to their house, that means the house I grew up in and the home my parents have live in for around 33 years, is sold. Besides being married and living a few different places, that home is my home. The only childhood home I know. It is sad that we will never swim in that pool or sit around the bar in the kitchen again, but I am even more happy that my grandparents farm and house are still in the family. I think we were all just about sick when we thought they would sell it after my granddaddy passed away.
We know grandmother and granddaddy are so pleased with all the work that was put into their house! It is our "home in the cove" and one that my whole family will treasure forever.

I will take pictures one day so you all can see how beautiful it is!

Our day was so much fun and so relaxed. We had amazing food, amazing weather, and amazing people around us.

The weather was SO nice, popsicle's were a must!

Such a pretty back yard, isn't it?!

I have to say, I loved that fact that Landon is now old enough to really hang with us when we do things. Like on Thanksgiving day, we literally stayed outside for hours and shot guns. I didn't care if he took a nap and he just had so much fun being out there with all of us. He did eventually go inside and fell asleep on granna and granddaddy's bed for a bit, but I remember watching Adam help him shoot a gun throughout the afternoon and just thinking to myself that I love his age and how much fun it is. He is no longer a baby and is able to do "big kid" stuff with everyone.

So thankful for my boys!

Still shooting guns at dusk and this was our view when we turned around.
beautiful!

That was our Thanksgiving day! We have so much to be thankful for.

Friday morning we woke up and got everyone ready to head to the farm. Adam's family always celebrates Thanksgiving the day after (which is so nice!) so we spent our day and night with his family. Again, the weather could not have been more perfect, we had amazingly, awesome food, and great company! We have so many little kids running around and this year we celebrated at Melissa and Brad's new home which is beautiful and there is lots of space to hold all of us.

After lunch, the kids asked for a football to play with but they only had a soccer ball. Us adults were outside watching the kids play back and forth and I guess we couldn't take it any longer and jumped in to play. I bet we played for about an hour and a half or so. We had SO much fun and laughed (and tried to catch our breath) the entire time. I will say this. I was extremely sore for 2 days afterwards. My body felt like it was being ripped to shreds. How pathetic is that! ha!

Here are all the cousins-
One 8 year old, One 7 year old, Three 6 year olds, One 4 year old and One 3 1/2 year old.

I love comparison pictures. Look how much everyone has changed and see how many we have added to the line up!

We had such a fun day/night and Tommy and Sarah came back to stay the night with us. We got home late, put the kids to bed, then stayed up taking. Looks like another ski trip is in our future-wahoo!

We had 2 wonderful days with our families and we are so blessed!

This doesn't pertain to Thanksgiving, but Saturday Adalyn and I spent our day at my mom and dads. (the boys went to the farm for a while then came over afterwards) We pulled out ALL of my moms Christmas decorations and started with putting up my grandparents gigantic tree. I knew it would take me all day. Thankfully my brother was there to help me when needed. It took hours to finish, but look at the final product!

We picked up J&G for dinner and went home late that night. We love being able to spend time with Christopher, Brandy and Hunter.
Adam and I had a wonderful Thanksgiving Break!
