My baby is EVERYWHERE

Ok, so I do recall me saying, " I can't wait until Adalyn can do SOMETHING! ANYTHING!" meaning, the newborn stage is somewhat boring. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean boring as in nothing to do because trust me, you have never been SO busy, but boring as in she just layed their and looked around. Now, she is 7 1/2 months old and has been crawling for a month now and is also pulling up on anything she can get her hands on! I haven't said "No" so much in my life. haha. And I do know I will probably never quit saying it for the rest of her life. =)She is also getting to the stage where she doesn't really like being in her Jumperroo or Excersaucer much anymore. I reckon she feels "trapped" in there when she KNOWS she would much rather be out crawling around and getting into things she isn't suppose to. The excersaucer has been a life saver for Adam and I during dinner. We were able to sit at the table, eat, talk, and watch Adalyn entertain herself with her excersaucer. Now, she is just itching to get out of it! So tonight we drug the pack-n-play over to the table and let her play in that and then she figures out and can worm her way up the side and look over at us. =)

and this is how I found her when I got home from work...

she thinks she's somethin!

In other news, we babysat this weekend. No, not another baby, but Singer. God love her. We use to watch her all the time when my parents went out of town but since Adalyn has joined the picture we haven't been doing it much since this past weekend. Singer is one of the best dogs I have ever been around. Seriously. I mean, she rings a bell when she has to pee for crying out loud! Anyway, Saturday I played in an Alumni softball game so Adam and Adalyn graced the stands to watch, and we left Singer at the house. Come to find out, our AC went out and when we got back it was 82 degrees and we found 3 pee spots and 1 nice pile of crap on our FRESHLEY cleaned carpet from Chem-Dry. Thanks Singer! =) Needless to say, we cleaned up the mess and packed up for my parents. Sunday morning as we were getting ready for church, i took a quick picture of Adalyn and Singer. Such good friends. =)

Oh, has anyone figured out why we spend tons of money on toys that talk, light up and spin? Well, give my kid a box and she's one happy camper!

Enough rambling for now. Off to bed I go!

Father's Day

This was Adam's 1st Father's Day and what a beautiful day it was! He woke up to a card from Adalyn that had several pictures of the two of them that she (I) had made from Snapfish. So cute! He also got a card from his lovely wife and a note stating he could go and pick out a recliner! We have a couch and a love seat and he has wanted a recliner for as long as I can remember. I am very thankful for my wonderful Daddy, I know Adam is very thankful for his dad, and I know Adalyn is thankful for hers. =) Thank you GOD for blessing us with these great men in our life!

1st Vacation!

Last week we loaded up and headed to the mountains! This was our 1st family vacation with adalyn. We went to Helen, GA and met up with Adam's family. They have been going for years and I, for whatever reason, have not been able to go, so I was glad I was able to this year. What a beautiful town! To start off, Adalyn did GREAT on the long 4 (+) hour car ride. She slept the first 2.5 hours and woke up as soon as we pulled into Burger King. She was past her normal feeding time and since we make her baby food, we went inside and asked if they would heat up her dinner for us. =) they were very nice enough to do so and Adalyn ate her Squash, Oatmeal, and Pears on the back of the truck in the parking lot.

After we all ate, we loaded BACK up and continued our journey. If you know me, you know I get car sick going just about ANYWHERE. My mom use to always say, "Sit up and look out of the window..." Well I can tell you, that NEVER worked for me. The bulk of this drive was SOO curvy it reminded me of my 1st 15 weeks of pregnancy! ick. So, I hopped into the driver seat thinking that would help because it usually does but NOPE, didn't at all. All Adam and I could do was laugh because of how stinkin bad those roads were and how I kept saying my mouth is watering. lol. I definitely couldn't sit in a seat facing backwards like Adalyn.
We finally arrived late that night and visited with family then went to bed. During the week we went swimming...

...and hiking,

We visited Anna Ruby Falls and it was beautiful! It was definitely a work-out to push Adalyn up that mountain! But i kept reminding myself that my legs would be thankful for the nice work-out.

We also went tubing down the river which took 2 hours and it was so relaxing. We also ate alot which is always good. =) Here are some more pictures of our 1st Vacation!

Summer time!

Looks like I have been slacking off again! I must do better on blogging! If I don't blog within a few days, I tend to forget what has gone on the past few days! Oh, our sweet Adalyn is EVERYWHERE! She is crawling and pulling up on furniture now. It is amazing to think about a few months ago when we could lay her down and her not move an inch. Now, as soon as we sit her down, she immediately starts crawling to see what she can get in to! Im sure some of you are thinking is our house "baby proof"? The answer to that is probably no. Atleast probably not like it should be. We do have outlet covers in all outlets but when it comes to those corner edges on coffee tables, they are still sharp and hard as ever! Meaning, we haven't covered them. (if you can even do that?)I am trying to tell myself that she will get bumps every now and then and that its OK.
Pulling up--

We have also been swimming a couple of times already this summer. I am glad to know Adalyn loves the water. She knows exactly what to do when those chubby little legs hit the water... kick! It's a good thing she likes it since we will be taking a Mommy and Me swim class later on this summer!

and this is her 1st time on a boat!

Over Memorial Day Weekend she got to spend some time at the camper and got to meet baby Rylan! Sadly, I have no pictures of him and her but im sure I will eventually. Anyway, she DID get to spend time with her aunt and uncle!
Showing off her muscles--

We think Adalyn is in the process of cutting another tooth. She always drools, but the past few days she is soaking wet with drool and she was a little fussy yesterday afternoon! Definitely out of character for her. She did have a huge diaper later on so maybe her tummy was hurting her. Who knows! But I love her 2 bottom teeth she has now. So darn cute. And no, she has not biten me yet! haha.

I wanted to post these 2 pictures to show how relaxed she is while in her stroller! she loves it! We walk every night and she just sits back and examines everything.

That's all for now! We will be on vacation next week! Wahoo!
