Happy 5th Birthday Landon!

Landon turned 5 on September 16 and my mind was blown. I remember how emotional I felt when Adalyn turned 5 (which seems like yesterday) and it was so hard for me to accept the fact it was Landon's turn to be a whole hand old. To me, 5 is a BIG age! It's like they automatically look older when they are 5. Adam and I have noticed his little chubby baby cheeks are thinning out and he is growing like a weed. He goes for his 5 year check up next week but he's been in size 6 clothes since this past summer and weighs around 55 lbs. We start talking about birthdays a few months prior to their big day and he was set on having a Wolverine party. The one superhero I basically know nothing about! We have 1 Wolverine figurine and he just would not change his mind so, Wolverine is what we did! I was thinking it may be hard to decorate since I didn't have a lot of toys to set out but it turned out pretty good anyway! We had friends and family over at the house and we were so thankful for wonderful weather!

Before every party I always snap a few pictures of the kids in front of one of our Willow Trees. I cherish these!

Oh how I love this collage!

Now for the details

His birthday invite I created with help from a friend at work

Wolverines "claws"

I had a big "5" balloon blown up like last year and
unfortunately, the wind had better ideas as I was walking out of Wal-Mart and I sadly watched it float up to the sky.
Sigh.

We had lots of friends and family there to celebrate the birthday boy!

What a fun (and easy!) Wolverine party we had for this big boy!

Now for a stroll down party lane!

My big boy is in Pre-k!

I can hardly believe my "baby" is officially in Pre-K and will soon be off to Kindergarten. His baby/toddler years and Adalyn's toddler years seems like an eternity and I would catch myself thinking "this" stage will never end. And then it did. Then something else would come up and I would think, "ohh boy. When will this stage ever end?!" The nursing, learning to walk, climbing out of his bed, learning to talk, the pacifier, the fifty million sippy cups we tried before finding the "right" one he would take milk out of, trying new foods, potty training, etc, etc. You momma's know what I'm talking about! And I look back and think, Oh my goodness! How are we already out of "those" stages and now sending this boy off to Pre-K? Oh how the days are long but the years are short. That quote stands to be so so true. My baby will be going to big school next year with his dad and big sister. Crazy!

We have a 1st grader!

Our summer flew by and before we knew it, we were buying school supplies for our 1st grader. It seems so crazy saying we have a 1st grader! (and one in Pre-k!)

I snapped the obligatory back to school pictures and sent her off to school.

And to take a ride down memory lane....
It feels like I JUST took her Kindergarten pictures. Ready or not, Landon will be on our driveway next year posing for HIS Kindergarten pictures!
