Wednesday, June 18- Wet N' Wild Water park
Orlando offers lots of different water parks you can visit and we chose Wet N' Wild this time due to the fact that this was the only water park we have never been to. I have been to Disney's Blizzard Beach, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon, and Aquatica. They are all great so if you plan to visit a water park when you go, you cannot go wrong with whichever you choose!
I ordered our tickets to Wet N' Wild ahead of time because you can save $10.00 per ticket if purchased in advance. Or else you will spend $56.00 at the gate if you buy when you arrive. Oh, and Landon was free! (When planning this trip I knew Landon would be free at Magic Kingdom and Wet N' Wild, 2 years old and younger-- just one of the reasons we decided to go this summer!)
I had researched their website so I could have an understanding where things were located once we walked in. I knew the best spot for us was to be by "Blastaway Beach". It's described as a 6 story sand castle with 15 slides and over 160 interactive water elements. My kids were in absolute heaven all day long! We arrived as soon as the park opened so we were able to get lots of lounge chairs and a table in the shade.
This area is basically a huge water playground and Adalyn and Landon just kept going from one thing to the other. We had just as much fun as they did playing on everything!!
Landon was even tall enough to ride some of the big water slides with us! So that was awesome for him! Adalyn was able to ride a lot more than him because she is abnormally tall for a 4 year old lol She has no fear!
We were there from 9:30 (when it opened) until around 4:00 PM. You are able to bring in a cooler so we packed our sandwiches, Capri suns, snacks and waters for the day. Otherwise, you will spend $6.00 on a hot dog! At one point after lunch while we were going from slide to slide, Landon told us he wanted to go to sleep. lol So my mom took him back to our area in the shade and laid him down on a lounge chair. Since he was napping, my dad, Adam, myself and Adalyn kept finding slides to go on! We also did the lazy river and huge wave pool a few times throughout the day.
I think my favorite slide we did was the "Bomb Bay". This was towards the end of our day and my mom, Adalyn and Landon stayed at the bottom to watch us come down. It is a straight drop slide that you enter into a "rocket" capsule. They close the door on you and you have a little viewing hole to see out of. All I could see were the tops of the roller coasters from Universal Studios! Then when you tell them you are ready, they push a button and the floor falls out beneath you. It was awesome! The kids enjoyed watching us each come down one at a time.
Enough with the talking, now for pictures!
This is the area where we spent the majority of our time. It's so big I couldn't fit everything into the picture but you get the idea!
(I love Landon's orange rash guard. He was always so easy to spot!)
Lunch time!
(Landon is on his belly about to slide down)
Every time we walked past a snack stand, Landon would see a Spiderman Popsicle. By this time in the day, we thought it would be a good time to stop for a snack! Ice cream for everyone!
Landon chose spiderman (of course) and Adalyn chose Hello Kitty (which was a duh)
I didn't take pictures of my parents, Adam or myself eating our Popsicles because we aren't as cute as these two are ;) HA!
We had an awesome time at Wet N' Wild! The kids went full blast the entire time we were there. (except the 1 hour Landon napped :) If you have never visited a water park before, you need to! Everyone in your group will have a great time.

Oh yeah, another thing that made it easy to be at a water park all day with a 2 year old? No swim diapers!!!! If we weren't around a bathroom when he needed to go, I would find a spot off to the side and let him go there. lol Soo much easier than taking those swim diapers off throughout the day.
The kids fell asleep on the way back to the resort. We all took a nap once we got back and then Adam and I got ready to head out to do some shopping after we did some cooking and ate spaghetti. Orlando has awesome outlet malls so it was nice to be able to spend some time together and shop in peace! ;)
Day 4 was a success! We had a lot of fun and we all went to bed that night ready for our next full day at Magic Kingdom- stay tuned!
