Halloween 2012
Wednesday afternoon I left work early to head home to get the kids ready for our Halloween festivities. Adam was still in Nashville at a conference so it was up to me to get them ready. As soon as I got home, Landon was whining. Lynn handed him to me and he cried. Oh geeze, thanks Landon! Happy to see you, too! Adalyn was so excited about getting her costume on. In the process of getting them dressed and snacks packed, my mom came in. The kids were so excited to see her. They opened their Halloween gifts and we immediately gave Landon a sucker to keep him happy. We didn't hear a peep out of him after that. We then loaded up and met Jerry and Nancy at the square. We took a few pictures and then off we went to get some candy!
Here is Adalyn the cow! with a silly smile on her face... Must be an (almost) 3 year old thing :/
"Mooooo!"
My favorite part of her costume
And here is our "farmer" chilling in his wagon!
His costume choice was a no brainer for us. I figured he wouldn't keep anything up over his head and I didn't want him walking around half the night with half of a costume on. So, I looked in his closet because he seriously has like 2376238 pair of overalls and a ton of flanel button shirts, so a farmer it was. Easy peasy. Next year will be fun dressing him up b/c he will most definitely have his own personality and will be able to tell us what he wants to be. He stayed in the wagon most of the time and watched everyone and ate his suckers. I do believe by the end of the night he had 3 suckers and sucked every last taste out of them. His hands were SUPER sticky (and cold) and he absolutely did not like us wiping them off with a wipe.
As we were walking around, Adam finally showed up. The kids we happy to see him!
Adalyn was a pro at asking for candy. It took her a little bit to warm up but then she got the hang of it.
We then left and made our way over to Trunk or Treat at our church. There was a lot of people but I always enjoy walking around and seeing everyone. They had two huge inflatable slides and Adalyn was dying to try it out! She did it all by herself and had a ball!
Even though she looks scared to death coming down the slide, she really wasn't! She did ended up doing it twice that night.
By the time we were done, we were all pooped. We loaded the kids up and headed home. Granddaddy came over to see Adalyn in her cow costume. He wasn't able to walk around with us since he had to go to the farm after he got off from work. After everyone played, the kids were wore out. We had them in bed a little before 8:00. Adam and I relaxed and watched TV for a bit then headed to bed ourselves.
Is she not the cutest cow ever?!
